FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TESTS: ONGOING!

2020-02-24
Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) are an important step in the life of the project.

Coming right after the factory engineering phase, they allow INAMET's teams to verify that all systems and equipment provided by MFI or its partners are up to expectations and that they are ready to be sent to Angola for final implementation.

The Factory Acceptance Test process has started at the end of 2019 and is expected to be fully completed by the end of first quarter of 2020.

So far, 4 systems have successfully gone through the FAT process: SYNERGIE-WEB (forecasting), METEOFACTORY (PWS/EWS), TRANSMET (AMSS) and the Upper-air / Hydrogen generator equipment.

For each FAT, MFI's project and product managers work hand in hand to present the finalized systems and equipment to INAMET's inspectors.

When these demonstrations are done and once inspectors consider that all requirements have been reached, French and Angolan teams move on to the signature of the Factory Acceptance Test reports.

By this symbolic gesture, INAMET's inspectors put an end to several months of hard work from both parties and pave the way for the starting of expeditions and installations on site: a great source of satisfaction for all the people involved in the PMI Project.
