Done! The installation of the first Automatic Weather Station is now completed… and it will be followed by many more as the PMI Project provides for the implementation of 52 stations (synoptic, hydrological and agro), in collaboration with our partner STERELA and CIVICA / HESTIA / AMBIMETRIC.

The first station has been installed in Caxito, in the Bengo province. The installation was of course preceded by infrastructure works and followed by training sessions in order for INAMET staff to learn how to use and maintain the station. The data collected by the station are now visible on the GTS (WMO’s Global Telecommunications System) and INAMET is about to play its full part in the international exchange of weather data!
