FACTORY ACCEPTANCE TESTS FOR AWOS SUCCESSFULLY ACHIEVED!2020-07-27
While the COVID crisis continues to largely disrupt PMI project activities, INAMET and MFI’s teams are looking for solutions to allow the project to continue moving forward despite this unfavorable context. Thus, it was decided that the Factory Acceptance Tests for the Aviation Weather Observation Systems (AWOS) could be carried out without the presence of a representative of INAMET which is usually mandatory for this phase. The 8 AWOS provided within the PMI Project are manufactured by the French company DEGREANE HORIZON. The Factory Acceptance Tests took place at their headquarters in Cuers-France, from July the 21st till the 23rd. The tests were the opportunity to successfully check the conformity of the equipment with all the specifications mentioned in the contract between MFI and INAMET. The AWOS are now ready for shipment before implementation in 8 Angolan airports (Luanda, Cabinda, Catumbela, Lubango, Luena, Huambo, Soyo, Menongue).      |
