« I’m impressed by what I’ve seen”: these are the words used by Mr. Christophe Béchu, French Minister of Environment after visiting INAMET’s new National Forecasting Center on March the 3rd, in company of Mr. Mario Oliveira, Angolan Minister of Telecommunications. This visit took place within the framework of French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Angola to strengthen partnership between the two countries.

It is a real reward for INAMET and MFI’s teams to see the fruit of their work recognized at such a high level. The modernization project of INAMET stands out as one of the most ambitious hydromet projects currently engaged in Africa. It will bring numerous benefits to the population as well as to the Angolan economy. The project is also an outstanding example of efficient collaboration between 2 countries (Angola and France), based on partnership, co-design, integrated approach, and a real concern for capacity building and transfer of know-how. No doubt the collaboration between INAMET and MFI has a bright future ahead!
